I Don’t Write That Way was conceived by a stubborn, London-based writer who was overwhelmed by the rules of writing. I didn’t understand how to use the word ‘promulgate’ correctly until I was 25, and I’m still not 100% sure how to use a question mark?
This site’s focus is to remind writers and travellers that they are the brave ones. I believe that stories, whether scrawled on paper, typed on a computer, or written in the earth with your footsteps, are best created one way: your way.
So, feel free to join me as I post updates and articles on my work-in-progress novel, songwriting, Trek America adventures, London life, writing and everything ridiculous.
And remember, I don’t write that way.
Neither should you.
I’ve lived in London a little over a year now. I’m constantly getting lost and I frequently receive the ol’ evil eyes on the tube.
I love living in this city. It’s a writer’s dream. There are so many coffee shops to choose from, but not enough bladder capacity to store the liquid fun.
You’re more than likely able to spot me in one of many coffee shops using my laptop as a £1000 Spotify machine. I recently finished writing the first draft of my first novel and it’s a scary feeling. THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING. I’ve made such a huge progress with the novel by channeling the idea that I should write my way and stop stressing about keeping up with the crowd.
I hope you find some use from the stuff I post on this site. If you ever want to get in touch, head over here and I’ll try my best to get back to you.
